On Saturday February 12, 2022, The clergy of St. Vladimir Cathedral were honored to welcome the Scouts and their leaders from the Lake & Geauga Catholic Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
They visited the Cathedral as part of their Diversity In Worship religious retreat. Their scheduled included visiting four religious institutions that day, one being St. Vladimir Cathedral.
They toured the Cathedral and learned a brief history of the Holy Orthodox Christian Faith and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The Scouts were presented with literature on the Orthodox Faith and as part of the visit were taken to the parish's Famine Room Museum. They were acquainted with the atrocities committed by the Soviet Union and the 6 to 7 million poor souls who were starved to death in Ukraine because of a forced famine.
Refreshments were provided in the parish center for the visitors.
